This field next to Sioux City’s wastewater treatment plant is home to a new 58-acre park, Prairie Park.
SIOUX CITY — The Sioux City Parks and Recreation Department has postponed the official grand opening of Prairie Park, 3500 S. Lewis Boulevard, due to weather.
The event, which was supposed to take place Friday, has been rescheduled for Oct. 18 at 1:30 p.m.
The park opening is a community event. Residents, visitors and student groups are encouraged to attend. For more information contact the Parks and Recreation office at 712-279-6126.
